• Introduction

  Okatee is a Chrome browser extension for removing metadata from email attachments. The Services are provided by Okatee Corp. at 175 Bloor St E South, Bloor St E Tower Suite 1800, Toronto, ON M4W 3R8.

• Data Storage and Processing

  Okatee does not persist any user data. The Chrome extension processes most files locally within your browser using local memory. For some document types, files may be transmitted to Okatee for metadata cleaning only. When transmitted, data is encrypted in transit, held only in memory during processing, and discarded immediately afterward. We do not store or retain any data. No documents or attachments are retained or persisted to any storage.

• Information We Collect

  For license purchases, we may collect:

  • Email address
  • Name
  • Payment information (processed by our payment provider)

  For support or sales inquiries, we may collect information you voluntarily provide, such as your email, name, company, and message content.

  For certain document types, the extension may transmit files to Okatee solely for metadata cleaning; such data is encrypted, held only in memory during processing, and discarded immediately afterward. We do not store or retain any data.

• Your Rights

  Upon request, we will provide you with information about whether we hold any of your personal information. You may also request that we delete any personal information we hold about you.
